PWN2OWN, $25000 computer security competition in which competitors are challenged to create a remote, previously unknown, security exploit and fully penetrate security on a correctly patched Windows, Mac or Linux computer.

Mac and Vista got pwned.. The Linux machine survived as the only one, and an explanation from Terri Forslof, some manager, was that noone was interesting to get the notebook and $5000 prize.

I personally think that noone wanted Dell notebook running the Linux because they were probably too frightened of its exploding batteries :D

have started to work for Novell as a technical support engineer specialised in linux system, i am happy about the company and a kind of a job i do.

The best part is that we have several kernel developers two floors under us so it is easy to ask and even get the answers :)

among all the others unknown linux developers Luboš Luňák, the famous KDE hacker works here in the 2nd floor, so soon i will bugger him hard time for the new mouse gestures and keycode editor feature so i hope we’ll get some new neat features.

note to myself: find the kaffeine developer team and ask them for some dvb channel interface so it will be possible to add them to my remote

I’ve got an idea how to present our new (but not yet ready) website, this SEO ”problem” is actually quite interesting stuff..

“Frajer” is a czech word similiar to humdinger, under which we would love to see our website in the first place of google search, anyway what else would be worth as a keyword for our project.. :)

so i am paranoiac crackbrain accorfing to this shiny happy person and why? because i found this news article about new german law which will allow police to legally use spyware, Wolfgang Schaeuble the man who is behind this proposal is also trying to ban anonymyser programs like Tor.

Is privacy only for pedophiles and terrorists? perhaps anyone who isn’t one of those shiny happy people is de-facto a terrorist?

so, i am finally home returned from England few days before and i’ve got some offers from 4 HR agencies and some of them are very interesting.

Zítra se spouští projekt ministerstva kultůry a advertures s.r.o pan.ora.ma, jenž má sloužit jako odkladiště medialních souborů a prezentace vlastní práce.

Pan.ora.ma jsou tři mohutné servery (na poměry roku 2007) s diskovým polem o třech terrabytech, které jsou schopné zpracovat většinu formátů videa, zvuku, textu, grafiky, nebo prezentace a výsledek pak zobrazit na stránkách jako flash.

Na uživatele čeká gigabajt volného prostoru k využití, možnost sdílet svoje media s ostatními, komentovat a hodnotit ostatní, stahovat, a další udělátka který ani mě zatim jasný nejsou..
